About 14:55 USA East Coast time, The Associated Press reported that former Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) head Michael D. Brown has resigned.
Late last week Brown was relieved of directing Hurricane Katrina relief operations and sent back to Washington DC. He was replaced in the Gulf Coast by US Coast Guard Vice-Admiral Thad Allen.

Want to take bets on how long it takes before Georgei conferrs on him the People's Order of Merit (I mean the Presidential Medal of Freedom)?
I'm guessing no later than November mid-term election time. Brown is a fuck-up, and that gets rewarded by the Party.
