Icelanders not in Iceland
Time's up!
Today, about 100,000 people of Icelandic descent, many of them speaking fluent Icelandic, live around Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. (Among themselves, they call Winnipeg "New Iceland.") There's a newspaper published there with articles in Icelandic. In the second half of the 19th century, hard economic times led about 18,000 Icelanders to emigrate to North America, and most ended up around Winnipeg.
